 ctonic structures\, separating different landscapes and very different geo
 logy. Join geologists from the University of Aberdeen on a walk along the 
 coast at Stonehaven - getting hands-on the rocks and exploring the signifi
 cance of this major fault zone. You'll see deposits of long-lost rivers\, 
 rocks brought up from the depths of the crust and signs of a vanished ocea
 n - all access from the coastal path in magnificent scenery.\nPlease note 
 this is a walk from Cowie\, northern Stonehaven along the coast and back f
 or around 5 km on uneven ground. Participants need to get themselves to/fr
 om the rendezvous and be appropriately equipped for hiking.\nMeeting point
