TechFest Public Programme involves a series of talks, tours, workshops and shows, all promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) to the wider community.
The Public Programme aims to appeal to a large and diverse audience through talks, shows, tours, activities and workshops that take place in venues across the North East area.
The programme involves a stimulating and large variety of events and activities. Local scientists, experts, academics and industry professionals are invited to communicate their knowledge and passion for STEM subjects.
Our 2019 Public Programme was a huge success with presenters such as Foxdog Studios, Simon Watt and Matthew Tosh. Talks and Demonstrations were provided by Universities and other institutions, local industry and businesses

This 5-day programme, devoted to primary schools and early year's settings in the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire area. Pupils, teachers. classroom assistant and parent helpers are invited to attend this week-long programme which offers a wide range of STEM workshops, presentations, and shows which all correlate with the Curriculum for Excellence.

To achieve this, we work in partnership and collaboration across all sectors to ensure our programmes are embedded into our community. Working together to achieve inspiration and education for young people and our audience couldn't be possible without their support and sponsorship.
We work with around 55, 000 people over the course of our year through a wide range of activities and with a growing list of supporters, our audience keeps expanding across Scotland.

TechFest’s MISSION STATEMENT reflects its commitment and understanding; borne from knowledge and experience of what is required to be successful in designing, developing and delivering schools engagement projects. TechFest has an enviable record of engagement with schools in the North-East and throughout Scotland. This is reflected in our level of activity, reputation and knowledge of the education community in each of the 32 Local Authority areas. With over 20 years’ experience in promoting STEM subjects we are in the unique position to identify effective activities and measure impact.
We continually evaluate and assesses the impact of its operation – the quality, relevance and delivery. Advice, guidance and feedback are sought from education professionals, participants, providers and pupils. This is then reflected in the development and future delivery in all areas of our operation. The TechFest team are highly motivated, dedicated and skilled. Each member of staff has a range of relevant skills, qualifications and knowledge including science degrees, communication, experience in event management, accounts, performing arts, presentation training; in the charity, voluntary, private and public sectors.
